Project overview
The site sits in a prime industrial and logistics location within one mile of Junction 2 of the M54 motorway and three and a half miles north of Wolverhampton city centre. The surrounding area is established with major engineering, aerospace and distribution occupiers, giving the scheme strong transport links and access to a skilled local labour force.
Unit 1 is a 201,265 sq. ft. industrial and logistics building designed to meet modern occupier requirements. The specification includes 15 m eaves height to the haunch, 50 kN/m² floor loading, 15% roof lights for natural daylight and LED lighting throughout, supported by a 1 MVA power supply to the site.
Access and circulation are configured for large-scale logistics operations, with 18 dock levellers, 7 drive-in doors and yard depths of up to 50 m within a secure, fenced site. The development also provides extensive car parking, onsite EV chargers and high quality office and welfare accommodation.
Norvek is acting as Project Manager and Principal Contractor, coordinating the design, procurement and construction phases to deliver the building to the agreed programme, cost and quality standards. Works are currently on site and progressing through the structural frame, cladding and external works packages.
